This Privacy Policy explains how EMF Tracker (“we,” “our,” “us”) handles information when you use the EMF Tracker mobile application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What This Policy Covers

  • App only: This Policy applies to the App on your device. We do not operate in-app servers for storing your data.

  • No account: The App does not require creating an account or providing personal details.

2. Information We Handle

  • On‑device processing (default): Measurements, readings, visualizations, and history are processed on your device.

  • Sensor data used in-app:

  • Magnetometer for EMF readings

  • Bluetooth for nearby device scanning (e.g., RF index features)

  • Wi‑Fi for nearby networks or connected SSID (platform‑dependent)

  • On Android, the OS may require Location permission to enable Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth scans, even if your location is not used by us.

  • User input: Any notes you add to sessions are stored locally on your device.

  • Technical data: We may access non‑personal technical information on-device (e.g., device model, OS version) solely to run features, improve stability, or guide permissions and compatibility in‑app.

3. We Do Not Collect Your Personal Data to Our Servers

  • No personal data collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our servers.

  • No profiling/ads: The App does not include advertising, third‑party tracking SDKs for ads, or behavioral profiling.

  • No analytics to our servers: We do not send your readings, notes, or history to our servers.

4. Permissions and Why We Request Them

  • Magnetometer (Sensors): To compute EMF readings.

  • Bluetooth: To scan nearby Bluetooth devices for RF index features.

  • Wi‑Fi: To scan nearby Wi‑Fi or show connected SSID (platform‑dependent policies apply).

  • Location (Android OS requirement): Android may require Location permission for Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth scanning to function. We do not use location for tracking; it is requested to satisfy OS scanning rules.

  • You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work without the corresponding permission.

5. Storage and Retention (On Device)

  • Local only: Readings, history, and notes remain on your device.

  • Your control:

  • Delete individual entries (where supported in‑app).

  • Clear the App’s data via system settings.

  • Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.

  • No cloud backup by us: We do not maintain server backups. If you enable device‑level or third‑party backups (e.g., OS backup), that is governed by your device/platform settings.

6. External Services (Stores and Links)

  • App stores: Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds are processed by the App Store/Google Play. Billing information is handled by the store under its own terms and privacy policy.

  • External links: The App may open links (e.g., Terms, Privacy) in your browser. Those sites are governed by their own policies.

  • OS services: Device manufacturers and OS providers may impose scan limits or policies affecting accuracy/frequency.

7. Safety and Health Disclaimer

  • The App is designed for environmental awareness and educational purposes only. It is not a certified scientific/medical instrument.

  • Readings depend on device sensors and environment and may not be accurate or complete.

  • For health, safety, or regulatory decisions, consult qualified professionals and certified instruments.

8. Children’s Privacy

  • The App is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the App.

9. Security

  • Local security: Because data stays on your device, you control its security. We recommend using your device’s built‑in protections (screen lock, encryption, secure backups).

  • Transmission: We do not transmit your readings/history to our servers.

10. Your Choices and Controls

  • Manage permissions in your device’s settings at any time.

  • Delete data in‑app (where supported) or by clearing app data/uninstalling the App.

  • Subscriptions are managed via your app store account (billing, cancellation, refunds).

11. International Users

  • We do not transfer or store your readings/history on our servers. Any processing is on your device. App store billing and platform services are governed by the respective stores’ terms and local laws.

12. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance. The “Last Updated” date will change when updates are made.
