Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Weight Tracker Ultra (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Weight Tracker Ultra mobile application and related services (the “App”). By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Scope and Roles

  • This Policy covers data processed by the App, including personal health logs (weight/height/BMI), account/profile data, in‑app community content (Reels & Posts), and subscription/payment metadata handled by app stores.

  • For iOS and Android purchases, Apple and Google are independent controllers/processors of billing data per their terms.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 You provide

  • Health/Wellness Data: weight entries (value, unit, timestamp, notes), height entries, BMI (auto‑computed), goals, unit preferences.

  • Community Content (Reels & Posts): captions, comments, media (photos/videos/thumbnails), hashtags and mentions, timestamps and engagement (likes, replies, reposts, quotes).

  • Account Data: Google/Apple sign‑in identifiers (subject to your consent with those providers), email, display name, profile picture (if available), app user ID.

2.2 Collected automatically

  • Device/Technical: device model, OS/version, app version, locale, time zone, anonymized identifiers, IP/country (for fraud/abuse prevention and security).

  • Usage/Telemetry: feature usage events, performance metrics, crash reports, error logs, diagnostics.

  • Notifications: device push token (for alerts/updates), notification preferences.

  • Network and Security: basic connection metadata, abuse/fraud signals.

2.3 Subscription/Transactions

  • Subscription status and renewal/expiry metadata from Apple App Store / Google Play.

  • No full card/payment details are stored by us; purchases are processed by the app store per its policies.

3. How We Use Information

3.1 Provide and improve the App

  • Core tracking: store and render weight/height/BMI, charts, trends, goals, reminders.

  • Community features: host/stream your Reels & Posts, comments, likes, repost/quote; moderate for safety and policy compliance.

  • Subscriptions: enable freemium/premium entitlements, present premium upsell/restore flows.

  • Support and communications: respond to inquiries, send service notices (e.g., reminders, policy updates), and critical security messages.

3.2 Safety, security, and integrity

  • Detect/prevent fraud, spam, abuse, harassment, IP infringement.

  • Enforce Terms of Use (EULA), content guidelines, and legal obligations.

  • Protect users and our services.

3.3 Analytics and quality

  • Aggregate/anonymized analytics to measure performance, reliability, feature adoption, and improve the App.

  • A/B tests, diagnostics, crash analytics.

4. Legal Bases (where applicable)

  • Contract: to provide the App and features you request.

  • Legitimate Interests: security, fraud prevention, product improvement, limited analytics.

  • Consent: push notifications, access to photos/camera/microphone, profile data from sign‑in providers, optional analytics where required by law.

  • Legal Obligation: respond to lawful requests, comply with applicable laws.

5. Community Content (Reels & Posts)

  • Visibility: content you post may be visible to other users and can be re‑shared or captured (e.g., screenshots) by others.

  • Moderation: we may remove or restrict content or features to protect users and comply with laws and our EULA.

  • Metadata: engagement counts (likes/comments/reposts/quotes), timestamps, and IDs are used to render feeds and detect abuse.

  • Deletion: removing a post/comment generally removes it from the feed going forward, but cached/distributed copies (e.g., CDN caches, device caches) may persist briefly. Content shared by others may remain in their posts or backups as permitted by law.

6. Data Storage and Retention

6.1 Storage locations

  • Local: your health data and settings are stored locally for offline use.

  • Cloud: account, sync/backup (if enabled), and community content are stored in secure cloud databases/storage/CDN.

6.2 Retention

  • Account/Health Data: retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the App. You can delete entries at any time.

  • Community Content: retained until you delete it or delete your account; residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period.

  • Legal/Dispute: we may retain data as required by law or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

7.1 We do not sell your personal data.

7.2 Service providers (under confidentiality)

  • Cloud hosting and storage/CDN (for sync, media delivery).

  • Analytics/crash diagnostics and performance monitoring.

  • Push notification delivery.

  • Moderation and safety tooling.

  • Payment platforms: Apple/Google process purchases and manage subscriptions.

7.3 Legal and safety

  • We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, property, prevent fraud/abuse, or respond to lawful requests.

7.4 Business transfers

  • In a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may transfer subject to this Policy or equivalent protections.

8. International Transfers

  • Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross‑border transfers.

9. Security

  • We use industry‑standard measures: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (on supported services), access controls, least‑privilege, secure development practices, vulnerability management, and periodic reviews.

  • No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the App at your own risk. Protect your device with a passcode/biometrics and keep your OS/app updated.

10. Your Rights and Choices

10.1 Access, correction, deletion, and export

  • Access and update health entries and profile info via the App.

  • Delete entries, posts, and comments you control.

  • Account deletion: request permanent deletion of your account and associated data; we’ll delete or anonymize within a reasonable period, subject to lawful retention.

  • Data export: contact us to request a portable copy of your personal data (where required by law).

10.2 Notifications and permissions

  • Manage push notifications in App settings or device settings.

  • You may revoke camera/microphone/photos permissions in device settings; some features may stop functioning.

10.3 Regional rights (where applicable)

  • EEA/UK/Switzerland: rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection; right to withdraw consent without affecting prior processing; right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

  • California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, correct, and opt‑out of certain sharing; we do not sell personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

  • India and other jurisdictions: similar rights may apply per local law.

11. Children’s Privacy

  • The App is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us for removal.

12. Third‑Party Services

  • The App may link to or integrate third‑party services (e.g., sign‑in providers, app stores, content delivery). Your use of these services is governed by their privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for their practices.

13. Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • Mobile apps may use SDKs or device identifiers for analytics, diagnostics, and notifications. Where required, we will obtain consent or provide opt‑out controls.

14. Changes to this Policy

  • We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the App, laws, or practices. We will notify you via in‑app notice, email, or website update. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance.

16. Additional Terms for App Stores

  • Android (Google Play): Your use is also subject to Google Play’s terms and policies.

17. Governing Law

  • This Policy and any related disputes are governed by the laws of Haryana, India, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Haryana, India, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

By using Weight Tracker Ultra, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the practices described herein, as supplemented by your region’s applicable laws and the Terms of Use (EULA).
