Compliance Tracker India helps anyone interested in Indian business compliances:

  • Connect with business owners, CAs, CSs, and compliance professionals

  • Post content, share experiences, ask questions, and engage in discussions

  • Follow other users and build your network

  • Like, comment, repost, and quote posts

  • Use hashtags and mentions to discover and participate in conversations

Updates

  • Access curated compliance-related updates

  • Browse featured articles and trending stories

  • Filter and search for specific topics

  • Receive notifications about important compliance updates

Track Your Compliances

  • Create a dashboard to track your company's compliances

  • View a library of compliance requirements (for Indian businesses)

  • Track compliance status (e.g., Completed / Pending / Not Applicable)

  • Set reminders and receive notifications for due dates

  • Assign compliance categories to team members and track updates (Plus Plan)

Compliance Tracker India is designed to improve awareness and organization around compliance and does not provide legal, tax, or professional advice.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide the Services.

2.1 Information You Provide

Account & Profile Information

  • Name (display name)

  • Email address

  • Profile photo (if available through your sign-in provider)

  • Username (for Forum features)

This is used to identify you in the Forum, show your profile to other users, and support community features. If you create a dashboard, it's also used within your company workspace and for team features.

Forum & Community Data

  • Posts you create (text, images, videos)

  • Comments, likes, reposts, and quotes

  • Hashtags and mentions you use

  • Users you follow and who follow you

  • Profile information you choose to share publicly

News & Updates Interactions

  • Articles you view

  • Categories and topics you follow

  • Search queries you perform

Workspace & Team Information

  • The workspace role (Owner or Team Member)

  • Team member invites (email/identifier)

  • Assigned compliance categories (e.g., Finance, HR, Legal)

  • Team actions (e.g., marked completed/incomplete/applicable/non-applicable)

Compliance Tracking Data

  • Compliance items you view or track

  • Status you set (Completed / Incomplete / Applicable / Not Applicable)

  • Reminder preferences and due dates you configure (where applicable)

2.2 Company Details and Anonymity

Compliance Tracker India is designed to be privacy-friendly:

  • Forum and Updates features do not require any company information

  • Dashboard/company tracking is optional and only needed if you choose to track compliances

  • We do not require you to enter your company's legal name, CIN, PAN, GSTIN, turnover, bank details, or director details to use Forum and Updates

  • If you create a dashboard, we may ask for company type (e.g., Private Limited, LLP) to show an appropriate compliance library

  • Any additional company information (if added in future versions) will be optional unless clearly required for a feature you enable

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may collect:

Device & Technical Data

  • Device model, OS version, app version

  • Language and time zone settings

  • Unique device identifiers (as provided by the device/OS)

  • Network and diagnostic information

Usage & Performance Data

  • Feature usage (e.g., Forum posts, news views, reminders enabled, team actions)

  • App performance data and crash reports

  • Logs necessary to maintain and secure the Services

  • Engagement metrics (e.g., post views, likes, comments) for Forum features

2.4 Information From Third Parties

We receive limited information from third-party services that help us operate and improve the App, including:

Firebase Services (Google LLC):

  • Firebase Authentication: For secure account login and identity verification

  • Database: To store user profiles, Forum posts, comments, news data, team structures, compliance statuses, and reminder settings

  • Analytics: To understand app usage patterns, feature engagement, and improve user experience

  • Crashlytics: To detect crashes, diagnose errors, and improve app stability

These services may automatically collect technical and usage-related information such as device identifiers, app version, operating system, timestamps, and error logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

3.1 Provide and Operate the Services

  • Create and manage your account

  • Enable Forum features (posts, comments, likes, follows, hashtags)

  • Show compliance library based on company type (if you use dashboard features)

  • Save compliance statuses and reminder preferences (if you use dashboard features)

  • Enable team creation, assignment, and delegation (Plus Plan, dashboard users)

3.2 Send Reminders and Notifications

With your permission, the App sends:

  • Notifications about important compliance news and updates

  • Forum notifications (new followers, likes, comments, mentions)

  • Reminders for recurring compliances (if you use dashboard features):

  • 7, 3, 1 days before the due date

  • On the due date

  • Daily after the due date is missed, until the item is updated (where enabled)

We may also notify Owners of team activity such as:

  • Marked complete/incomplete/applicable/non-applicable

  • Assignment changes (added/removed categories)

3.3 Improve the App

  • Monitor usage to improve UI/UX and reliability

  • Fix bugs, crashes, and performance issues

  • Develop and test new features

  • Personalize content recommendations (Forum and Updates)

3.4 Security and Fraud Prevention

  • Detect abuse, unauthorized access, and suspicious activity

  • Protect accounts and workspaces

  • Moderate Forum content and enforce community guidelines

  • Enforce our Terms

3.5 Billing and Subscription Management (Plus Plan)

Compliance Tracker India Plus (₹199/month) enables Team and Reminders features (and other premium features).

Payments are processed by the Apple App Store / Google Play Store.

We do not collect or store your full payment card details.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following cases:

4.1 Public Forum Content

If you use Forum features:

  • Your posts, comments, likes, and profile information (name, username, profile photo) are visible to other users

  • Your posts may appear in hashtag feeds, search results, and other users' feeds

  • Reposts and quotes of your content will be visible to others

  • You can control some visibility through privacy settings (where available)

4.2 With Your Team (Within Your Workspace — Dashboard Users)

If you are in a workspace:

  • Your name and profile photo may be visible to other team members

  • Your compliance updates may be visible to the Owner (and/or team, depending on workspace settings)

  • Owners can assign categories and view completion updates

4.3 With Service Providers

We use trusted third-party providers for:

  • Authentication (Google / Apple)

  • Cloud storage, hosting, databases

  • Notifications delivery

  • Analytics, performance monitoring, crash reporting

These providers may process limited information solely to provide services to us and are required to protect it.

4.4 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required to:

  • Comply with law, regulation, or legal process

  • Respond to valid government requests

  • Protect rights, safety, and security of users and our Services

  • Enforce community guidelines and Terms of Service

4.5 Business Transfers

If Compliance Tracker India is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or restructuring, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We may share information for other purposes if you explicitly consent.

Your information may be stored on secure servers operated by our service providers. Data may be processed in India and/or other countries depending on infrastructure location.

We use reasonable safeguards including:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)

  • Access controls and authentication measures

  • Secure cloud infrastructure

  • Monitoring and logging for abuse prevention

  • Content moderation tools for Forum features

HOWEVER, NO METHOD OF TRANSMISSION OR STORAGE IS 100% SECURE. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ABSOLUTE SECURITY.

 

5.3 Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to:

  • Provide the Services

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

  • Maintain Forum content and community features

When you delete your account, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize your personal information unless retention is required by law. Note that Forum posts and comments may remain visible if they have been reposted or quoted by other users, or if deletion is not immediately possible due to technical constraints.

 

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

  • Access: request a copy of your data

  • Correction: update your profile details in-app

  • Deletion: delete your account and associated data (Forum posts may remain if reposted by others)

  • Withdrawal of consent: where processing is based on consent

  • Notifications control: manage notification permissions in device settings

7. Permissions We Request

Compliance Tracker India may request:

  • Notifications: to send compliance reminders, Forum notifications, and team activity updates

  • Internet/Network access: to sync your data and deliver Services

  • Camera/Photos (optional): to post images/videos in Forum

You can control permissions in device settings.

8. Third-Party Services

Compliance Tracker India uses third-party services such as:

  • Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In

  • Cloud hosting and databases

  • Analytics and crash reporting

These services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

9. Children's Privacy

Compliance Tracker India is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

 

10. India-Only Applicability and Compliance Content Disclaimer

Compliance Tracker India's compliance library and content are currently designed for Indian businesses. Compliance requirements can vary based on your exact facts and may change over time due to government updates. We provide compliance information for awareness and organization and do not guarantee that the library is complete or applicable to your business in all circumstances. We encourage users to verify requirements using official sources and/or consult a qualified professional (CA/CS/legal).

 

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by:

  • Updating the Effective Date

  • Posting the updated policy in the App (and/or sending a notice if required)

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the revised policy.

15. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect: CIN, PAN, GSTIN, bank account details, director Aadhaar/PAN, turnover, invoices, employee salary data, or client/customer lists. Forum and Updates features do not require any company or financial information.
