Terms of Use (EULA)

Effective Date: January 2025

These Terms of Use (“Terms”, “Agreement”, or “EULA”) govern your access to and use of the Complianceist mobile application and related services (“Complianceist”, “App”, “Services”), operated by PPLST Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”).

​

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Complianceist, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

​

1. About Complianceist

Complianceist is a compliance awareness and tracking tool designed to help Indian businesses:

  • View a library of compliance requirements

  • Track compliance status

  • Set reminders for recurring compliances

  • Assign compliance categories to team members

  • Receive notifications for updates and due dates

​

Complianceist does NOT provide legal, tax, accounting, or professional advice.

​

2. Eligibility

You may use the App only if:

  • You are 18 years of age or older

  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract

  • You are using the App for lawful business purposes

​

Complianceist is intended for Indian businesses only.

​

3. Account Registration and Use

​

3.1 Account Creation

To use Complianceist, you must create an account using supported sign-in methods (e.g., Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In).

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information

  • Keep your login credentials secure

  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

​

3.2 Workspace Roles

Each workspace may have:

  • Owner – controls the workspace, billing, team members, and assignments

  • Team Members – receive assigned compliance categories and reminders

The Owner is responsible for actions taken by invited team members.

​

4. License Grant

​

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Complianceist solely for your internal business compliance tracking, subject to these Terms.

​

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the App

  • Use the App for unlawful or fraudulent purposes

  • Attempt to access other users’ data or systems

  • Interfere with the security or performance of the App

​

5. Compliance Information Disclaimer (Very Important)

​

Complianceist provides informational content only.

​

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Compliance requirements depend on your specific facts (industry, size, registrations, transactions, laws in force)

  • Laws and due dates change frequently

  • Marking a compliance as “Completed” does not guarantee legal compliance

  • Complianceist does not file returns or submit documents on your behalf

​

You are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying compliance requirements

  • Meeting statutory deadlines

  • Consulting qualified professionals (CA, CS, Advocate) where required

​

6. Reminders and Notifications

​

Complianceist may send reminders:

  • 15, 7, 3, 2, 1 days before due date

  • On the due date

  • Daily after a due date is missed (if enabled)

​

⚠️ Reminders are a convenience feature only.

​

We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of due dates

  • Delivery of notifications (depends on device, OS, network, permissions)

​

You remain fully responsible for compliance even if reminders fail.

​

7. Subscription and Payments (Complianceist Plus)

​

7.1 Plus Plan

Complianceist Plus (₹199/month) may include:

  • Team collaboration features

  • Compliance delegation

  • Automated reminders

  • Additional premium features

​

7.2 Billing

  • Payments are processed via Apple App Store / Google Play Store

  • We do not store your payment details

  • Subscription renewals and cancellations are governed by the platform’s policies

​

7.3 Refunds

Refunds, if any, are subject to Apple/Google policies. WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS DIRECTLY.

​

8. User Conduct

​

You agree not to:

  • Upload false, misleading, or abusive information

  • Impersonate another person or business

  • Misuse team features to harass or monitor others

  • Use Complianceist to violate any law or regulation

​

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

​

9. Intellectual Property

​

All rights, title, and interest in Complianceist, including:

  • App design

  • Content structure

  • Compliance categorization

  • Branding, logos, and trademarks

are owned by PPLST Tech or its licensors.

​

You may not use our branding or content outside the App without written permission.

​

10. Data and Privacy

​

Your use of Complianceist is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process data.

By using the App, you consent to data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

​

11. Termination

​

We may suspend or terminate your access:

  • If you violate these Terms

  • If required by law

  • If the App is discontinued

​

You may stop using Complianceist at any time by deleting your account.

​

Upon termination:

  • Your license ends

  • We may delete or anonymize your data per our Privacy Policy

​

12. Limitation of Liability

​

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Complianceist and PPLST Tech shall not be liable for:

  • Missed deadlines or penalties

  • Incorrect compliance interpretation

  • Financial loss or regulatory action

  • Loss of data or business interruption

  • Failure of reminders or notifications

  • Reliance on compliance information provided in the App

YOU USE COMPLIANCEIST AT YOUR OWN RISK.

13. No Warranties

​

Complianceist is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, including:

  • Accuracy

  • Completeness

  • Fitness for a particular purpose

  • Non-infringement

​

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

​

14. Indemnification

​

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PPLST Tech from any claims, losses, penalties, or damages arising from:

  • Your use of Complianceist

  • Your failure to comply with applicable laws

  • Actions taken based on App content

​

15. Changes to Terms

​

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users by:

  • Updating the Effective Date

  • Posting updated Terms in the App

​

Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

​

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

​

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Gurgaon, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by law.

  • YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM

  • COMPLIANCEIST IS AN ORGANIZATION TOOL, NOT A LEGAL ADVISOR
