Content & Copyright Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2025
Last Updated: 27 November 2025

This Content & Copyright Policy explains what users can and cannot share on ProTalkie, how intellectual property is protected, and how we handle reports of violations.

This policy supplements our Terms of Use, DMCA Takedown Policy, User Safety Policies, and Privacy Policy.

1. User Responsibility for Shared Content

ProTalkie is a private, encrypted communication service. Users are solely responsible for the content they share.

By using ProTalkie, you agree that:

  • You own the content you send, or you have permission to share it

  • Your content does not infringe on legal rights of others

  • You will not share illegal, harmful, or abusive material

  • You will comply with global copyright laws and this policy

You acknowledge that ProTalkie is not responsible or liable for content shared by users.

2. Forbidden Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on ProTalkie:

2.1 Illegal Content

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

  • Human trafficking or exploitation

  • Terrorism or violent extremism

  • Illegal drugs, weapons, or contraband

  • Fraud or identity theft

  • Content violating sanctions or export laws

2.2 Abusive or Harmful Content

  • Threats, intimidation, or harassment

  • Non-consensual intimate content (“revenge porn”)

  • Hate speech or discrimination

  • Blackmail or extortion

2.3 Copyright-Infringing Content

  • Movies, music, books, or software shared without rights

  • Pirated or unauthorized copies of copyrighted works

  • Content that violates licenses or distribution rights

2.4 Malicious Content

  • Viruses, malware, phishing attempts

  • Links designed to harm others

2.5 Impersonation

  • Pretending to be someone else

  • Misleading identity information

  • Fake accounts representing ProTalkie or PPLST Tech

Violating these rules may result in account restriction or termination.

3. End-to-End Encryption & Content Limitations

ProTalkie uses end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for all messages:

  • We cannot see message content

  • We cannot decrypt voice notes, images, videos, files, or text

  • We cannot proactively scan messages for copyright or abuse

Because of this:

  • Enforcement relies on user reports

  • We act based on metadata and user-submitted evidence

  • We cannot access or remove individual messages inside chats

However, we can restrict or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

4. When You Report Content

When you report a violation, you may provide:

  • Screenshots

  • A copy of the infringing or harmful content

  • The sender’s phone number

  • Additional details needed for review

We cannot access encrypted content unless you provide it voluntarily.

We may take action such as:

  • Warning the violating user

  • Restricting their messaging ability

  • Suspending or terminating the account

  • Reporting serious cases (e.g., CSAM, threats) to authorities

5. Copyright Ownership and Respect

Users must respect copyrights of others.

This includes:

  • Not sharing copyrighted movies, music, books, or files you do not own

  • Not distributing paid content without permission

  • Not using ProTalkie for unauthorized commercial use

  • Not sending content protected by DRM or license restrictions

If you don't own it, you shouldn't share it.

6. Content Ownership: Who Owns What?

6.1 Users Own Their Content

You retain ownership of the voice messages, files, images, and text you share.

6.2 ProTalkie Owns the Platform

We own:

  • The app

  • Branding

  • UI designs

  • Logos

  • Code

  • Trademarks

Users may not copy or misuse ProTalkie’s intellectual property.

7. Repeat Infringer Policy

In compliance with DMCA and global copyright obligations:

  • Users who repeatedly share infringing content may be permanently banned

  • We maintain internal metadata logs to track repeat reports

  • Decisions are final at ProTalkie’s discretion

8. Sharing Safety Tips

To keep the community safe:

  • Do not share sensitive personal information

  • Verify media sources before forwarding

  • Avoid sharing copyrighted content in groups

  • Do not open unknown or suspicious links

  • Immediately block/report abusive users

9. Our Rights

PPLST Tech reserves the right to:

  • Investigate reported violations

  • Delete unencrypted content (if submitted)

  • Disable or terminate accounts

We do not monitor or scan private messages due to E2EE.
